Dancebo....

I am hoping to make millions when I launch my own exercise video - "Dancebo With Sharona The Speed Wobble Technique"

First you need a playlist, eg:
"Mother Mary" - Foxboro Hot Tubs
"No Tomorrow" - Orson
"Scream" - Timbaland
"Way I are" - Timberland
"Pumped Up Kicks" - Foster The People
"4 Songs & a Fight" - The Sounds

Basically any songs that will make you dance!

Then start! dance, jump, wiggle, punch, kick, JUST DON'T STOP MOVING...
Think "Ninja Stripper".... ok... now you've got it.... remember to pull your tummy in ;)

Assumptions...

so.... saw my darling brother and he basically told me that he was sure that I was slacking on the challenge... not because I am still built like a busty garden gnome... but because I am sorely neglecting my blog... I got busy ok??? and I swear I have been joggling around the flat.... er.... atleast every second day! So I haven't been puuuuuuuuuuuuurrfect.... but promise I've been trying!

So now... I will write a totally seperate post on my weird exercise routine... and then wobble around my flat for 30 minutes... just to show him (and you!).

Good vibes xxx

Legwarmers Make You Burn More Fat....

Yippy for the 80s :)

Apparently there was an exercise series called "20 Minute Work Out"

Sooooooooo awesome.... some great aerobic moves here... love this video especially:

There are loads of videos from this series on Youtube... none of them are 20 minutes, but I figure maybe pause the video and try to do the moves for 5 minutes per exercise? Otherwise just watch a few of the videos and jot down moves that you like, and put together a routine of sorts for yourself - I'm going to do this.

Boys - please don't just oggle the ladies' bottoms... jump around too ;)

Lovely Legs

Ok... just a warning, if you are at work and click this link... the Lady Gaga music is LOUD, with no spoken instruction.... so just watch the little Asian woman bobbing up and down... looks kinda hardcore... gonna try this today....

I like the fact that it's like dancing :)
The video is under 7 minutes long, so do it twice or add other stretching or cardio

Jumping Jack ;)

Jumping Jack... no, not at all a description of my date last night... his name wasn't Jack ;)

So, when my skipping rope failed yesterday, I defaulted to jumping-jacks - they are crazy tiring so must have a health benefit, right? Of course! Apparently they are a recommended quick cardio exercise :)

Shine has a great article on "correct form" - but if think that you may have perfected your form already in gym at school... progress to more complex jacks (credit goes to Real Beauty):

Traditional Jumping Jack
Start with legs together and knees soft with arms down at your sides. Push off both feet at the same time to open legs up wide into a small squat with your arms above your head. Always make sure you land toe to heel to help protect your feet, knees, and everything on up. Repeat for 30 to 60 seconds.

Single Jack
Alternate traditional jumping jacks with ones where you hop on one leg (like you're playing hop scotch). Keep the same arm movements as a regular jumping jack. Repeat for 30 to 60 seconds.

Jack Turn
Alternate traditional jumping jacks with a jump that turns your body 90 degrees, alternating to the right and then left side. Repeat for 30 to 45 seconds.

Jack & Tuck
Alternate traditional jumping jacks with a tuck jump, bringing your knees to your chest. Repeat for 20 to 30 seconds.
